The computer generated immersive environment linked to below represents an outdoor courtyard area where students can walk through and interact with different construction<\/span> elements with the handheld controller of a virtual reality device. Once the students (or any other user) selects a particular\u00a0construction<\/span>\u00a0element, they can choose to see real-life\u00a0construction<\/span>\u00a0videos or 2D\u00a0construction<\/span> drawings of that built element. They can also choose to\u00a0experience<\/span> different phases of constructions being three dimensionally immersed in that space and read short descriptions on them. An immersive animation\u00a0experience<\/span> of storm water drainage system in the rain garden located at the center of the courtyard with realistic sounds of rain and thunder can show students how construction elements can collect and filter water. Videos and 2D construction<\/span>\u00a0drawings combined with the VR environment will allow students to get a realistic\u00a0experience<\/span>\u00a0without physically being at a specific site.<\/p>\n

Below is linked another VR experience that allows you to view a 3D representation of a proposed site design.\u00a0 This kind of visualization of a design before it is built can make you and your client view your design in a whole new way.\u00a0 Using the experience below you can look at multiple views of the site and see it from different perspective.\u00a0 In this way you can feel like you are walking through the site through 3D static images.\u00a0 This shows that there are multiple ways to use VR environments to illustrate a design and enable viewers to learn about constructing a site and about a constructed site.<\/p>\n
