About

Thoughtful art and design help us to see and experience the world more clearly. They pose relevant questions about existing structures and teach us new ways of thinking. As a designer, I aim to bring such methods to my own practice and design experiences and interactions that are relevant to the communities they seek to serve. As founder of IDEO David Kelley and his brother Tom suggest “step back to make sure you have unearthed the correct question, before starting to search for solutions.” Advice to live by, I'd say.

question:

What’s your personal motto?

Be a student of life!

question:

Where do you turn for design inspo?

Design Matters with Debbie Millman. A healthy dose of her podcasts leave me feeling inspired, motivated, and grateful for the profession I fell in love with.

question:

Which famous graphic designer would you swipe right on?

I'd swipe right on Joe Hollier, Susan Kare, and Eike Konig. Maybe even Saul Bass. This is a Bumble BFF reference, right? :P

While they are subjective, colors are part of the visual system in the brain that trigger emotions when seen. A softer color palette is used to more easily call users to action and evoke feelings of playfulness and joy.

Recess

Recess is an alternative social media app that encourages in-real-life interactions with the people we care about most without demonizing the digital devices that we use to facilitate them.
