Design has the incredible ability to influence the world. It is a means by which we solve problems and communicate ideas. As long as I can remember, I have loved art and problem-solving, and graphic design allows me to combine these passions in a way that can benefit society, even if that just means making it a more beautiful place.
Why did you choose the College of Design at NCSU over other programs?
NC State’s design program focusses on design thinking and the tools needed to be a designer now, as well as evolve as a designer of the future. I wanted to go to a school that had a good design program that was also multidisciplinary so that I could surround myself with variety.
How many tabs do you have open right now?
43 distributed across 4 windows. I have a problem.
What's your first response when Adobe crashes?
Stare dejectedly at the screen, sigh dramatically, and lay my head on the desk before restarting the program and/or the computer (depending on crash severity).
